Other places in Portland have more taps (Great Lost Bear, Three Dollar Deweys, Jimmy the Greeks) but none come close on quality. Great deck and awesome bottle selection [sometimes Cantillon/Drie Fonteinen] There's tap-takeovers every few weekends where some amazing goodies crop up.
Pai Men Miyake188 State St,
Portland, ME 04102
Best restaurant in town food + beer quality'wise IMHO. Ramen bar with great beer and sake selection. My go to for a dinner of appetizers and beers with out-of-towners. They should have a few Oxbow bottles that are no longer available for sale at the brewery/tasting room. Ask for their "Cellar Bottle List" menu.
Bao Bao Dumpling House133 Spring St,
Portland, ME 04101
Relatively inexpensive dumpling spot with great taps -- they do some killer tap takeovers every month or so.
Big J's Chicken Shack4 Thompsons Point,
Portland, ME 04102
Located directly next to Bissell Brothers with some amazing fried chicken [chicken and waffles!] and nashville hot chicken
Duckfat43 Middle St,
Portland, ME 04101
Mob scene with tourists and locals alike. Small tap list but curated quite well. Fries fried in duck fat. Yes!!
Empire Chinese Kitchen575 Congress St.
Portland, ME 04101
Great dim-sum joint for sharing with a mostly local tap list. Don't skip the Char Siu Bao and Honey walnut shrimp or the szechuan cucumbers with jellyfish if you're feeling adventurous, so tasty.
Eventide86 Middle St,
Portland, ME 04101
Oyster Bar with a twist. Pricier side and usually pretty packed, but rightfully on many national lists for best restaurant.
Fisherman's Grill849 Forest Ave, Portland, ME 04103Block or so from one of the larger beer stores, RSVP, so you can grab a some goodies and eat some of the freshest fried seafood around and it's much more affordable than the the higher-end fare you'll find on the rest of the Portland peninsula.
Great Lost Bear540 Forest Ave,
Portland, ME 04101
Most taps in town and a huge menu of pub fare that will have something for every person in your party. Can handle large parties with relative ease/little wait.
Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company36 Main St, South Freeport, ME 04078SEASONAL - Nice lobster pound right on the docks with a bunch of picnic tables set up
Honey Paw78 Middle St,
Portland, ME 04101
Noodle bar with the same owners as Hugo's and Eventide, decent tap list. They have my personal favorite dessert in all of Portland... caramelized honey soft-serve topped with pieces of honeycomb and chocolate magic shell.
King's Head254 Commercial St,
Portland, ME 04101
More upscale pub fare and they're up to 40 taps now. Great spot to catch a game on TV as the atmosphere and beer selection is infinitely better than sports bars nearby.
LFK188A State St,
Portland, ME 04101
Great location next to Pai Men and Boda. Taps can kick pretty quickly so goodies rotate in at a nice pace and they let you know exactly whats on-deck.
Little Tap House106 High St,
Portland, ME 04101
Upscale pub fare and a great local-heavy selection of craft.
Lobster Shack @ Two Lights225 Two Lights Rd, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107SEASONAL - Perhaps the most picturesque place to grab a lobster roll AND drink your favorite bottle. If you're bringing family along this is a must.
Outliers231 York St,
Portland, ME 04102
Awesome restaurant tucked away on the west end of Portland. Great looking space with awesome tap list. One of my favorite brunches in town.
Rhum Food and Grog4 Free St
Portland, ME 04101
[Behind Arabica]
Small number of taps and the Polynesian style food is a bit on the pricier side, but everything is top notch. Although their Happy Hour menu is tiny, it's very affordable and tasty. Just started serving brunch.
Schult & Herr349 Cumberland Ave, Portland, ME 04101Awesome tiny little german restaurant, amazing brunch. Last I knew they were BYOB but you may want to call and double check.
Slab25 Preble St,
Portland, ME 04101
Thick sicilian slabs of pizza and a really well curated tap list. The tap list/food combo here is out of this world. They get stuff on tap that I'd never expect. They just started doing brunch on Sundays that's phenomenal... those fried dough chit-chats... hnnngh
Terlingua52 Washington Ave,
Portland, ME 04101
Higher end Texas-style BBQ joint with a decent tap list directly across from Oxbow B&B and Maine Mead Works.

Anju Noodle Bar7 Wallingford Square #102,
Kittery, ME 03904
Awesome ramen bar in Kittery. Very few taps but they're always quality.
Ebeneezers Pub44 Allen Rd,
Lovell, ME 04051
The original pub in middle of nowhere, Lovell, ME is 1.5hrs outside of Portland but routinely makes the 'Best Beer Bar in the World' lists year after year. Plead for a tour of their cellar and it'll be pee pee pants city when you see whats tucked down there.
The Black Birch2 Government St,
Kittery, ME 03904
24 taps and a bit more upscale grub that's always super tasty.
When Pigs Fly Pizza460 U.S. 1,
Kittery, ME 03904
If you're driving into Maine from the south during lunch time this is a must stop. Great tap list right across the border from NH.
York River Landing150 US-1,
York, ME 03909
36 taps and a great bottle list... they put some of the more notable places on this list to shame when it comes to their amazing special-event tappings. Seriously, how the hell do they land some of these kegs?
Blaze Bangor18 Broad St,
Bangor, ME 04401
Bottle list surprised the hell out of me last time I was in [2014 Vanilla Rye?!? Farm to Face? all at prices that weren't unreasonable]
Nocturnem Draft Haus56 Main St,
Bangor, ME 04401
Best beer bar in the Bangor area with a great bottle list and tap-takeovers every so often
Three Tides2 Pinchy Lane,
Belfast, ME 04915
Home of Marshall Wharf with 17 of their beers on tap, some amazing limited one-off offerings. Great view from their beer garden. I always make it a point to stop here when I take the scenic route up to Bangor.
